Approve an amendment to the Project Cost Analysis in the amount of $187,500 for <br />$165,000 in additional contingency funds and $22,500 in additional contract <br />administration, inspection and testing for a new estimated total construction delivery <br />cost of $764,020. The new estimated total construction delivery costs include <br />$427,052 for the construction contract, $86,558 for contract administration, <br />inspection and testing, and a $250,410 project contingency for unanticipated or <br />unforeseen work, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager <br />and City Attorney. <br />2. Approve an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Capital Improvement Program <br />for $187,500, which includes $22,500 in construction engineering funds and <br />$165,000 for construction contingency funds, for the City Hall 3rd Floor Tenant <br />Improvements Project (22-1401). <br />DISCUSSION <br />On April 5, 2022, the City Council authorized the award of a construction contract to <br />Allinone Construction, Inc. for the 3rd Floor Tenant Improvements in Santa Ana City Hall <br />(Exhibit 1). The project is currently under construction and additional improvements <br />have been identified that surpass the existing contingency of $85,410. To capitalize on <br />the favorable pricing of the existing contract with Allinone Construction, Inc., staff <br />recommends increasing the project contingency by $165,000 and the contract <br />administration, inspection and testing funds by $22,500 to complete the work and <br />deliver the remaining improvements. <br />The recommended action will increase the project contingency and contract <br />administration, inspection and testing by $187,500, thereby increasing the total
