(Requirement §201.6(d)(3)) <br />A: See Priority Rating below. <br /> <br />Priority Rating <br />The Planning Team utilized the following Priority Rating method. Designations of “High”, <br />“Medium”, and “Low” priority have been assigned to all of the action items using the following <br />criteria: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Does the Action: <br /> solve the problem? <br /> address Vulnerability Assessment? <br /> reduce the exposure or vulnerability to the highest priority hazard? <br /> address multiple hazards? <br /> benefits equal or exceed costs? <br /> implement a goal, policy, or project identified in the General Plan or Capital <br />Improvement Plan? <br /> <br />Can the Action: <br /> be implemented with existing funds? <br /> be implemented by existing state or federal grant programs? <br /> be completed within the 5-year life cycle of the LHMP? <br /> be implemented with currently available technologies? <br /> <br />Will the Action: <br /> be accepted by the community? <br /> be supported by community leaders? <br /> adversely impact segments of the population or neighborhoods? <br /> require a change in local ordinances or zoning laws? <br /> positive or neutral impact on the environment? <br /> comply with all local, state and federal environmental laws and regulations? <br /> <br />Is there: <br /> sufficient staffing to undertake the project? <br /> existing authority to undertake the project? <br /> <br />As mitigation action items were updated or written the Planning Team, representatives <br />were provided worksheets for each of their assigned action items. Answers to the <br />criteria above determined the priority according to the following scale. <br /> <br />• 1-6 = Low priority <br />• 7-12 = Medium priority <br />• 13-18 = High priority
