The plan <br />is executed by the City Council in rolling five-year increments based <br />on long-term needs of the City balanced with available funding <br />sources necessary to meet those needs. <br />X X X X Storm Drain Master <br />Plan (2018) <br />The purpose of this study is to provide comprehensive long-range <br />planning for the implementation and development of storm drainage <br />facility improvements in the City, determine the capital improvement <br />costs, identify grant opportunity programs, and discuss priorities of <br />the drainage improvements. The City of Santa Ana encompasses <br />approximately 27 square miles and is located adjacent to the cities <br />of Orange, Garden Grove, Westminster, Tustin, Irvine, Costa Mesa, <br />and Fountain Valley. The Santa Ana River and Santiago Creek run <br />through Santa Ana, carrying flows to the ocean. <br />External Agencies <br />X X X Orange County Fire <br />Authority <br />The Orange County Fire Authority is a regional fire service agency <br />that serves 23 cities in Orange County and all unincorporated areas. <br />The OCFA protects nearly 2 million residents from its 77 fire stations <br />located throughout Orange County.
