Chestnut Avenue
Santa Ana, CA 92703
Office: 714.834.9400
Fax:714-834-9494
www.kidworksoc.org
RE: Letter of Support for City of Santa Ana Bristol -Tolliver Urban Greening Project
Dear Mr. Foster,
We understand the City of Santa Ana (City) is seeking grant funding from the California Natural
Resources Agency Urban Greening Grant Program for the Bristol -Tolliver Urban Greening
Project (Project). The Project area currently consists of vacant and unused parcels located along
the west side of Bristol Street, between McFadden Avenue and Tolliver Street, in a dense urban
community. The Project will transform the unused area into a beautiful new green space with
drought tolerant landscaping, shade trees, seating and benches, signage, waste receptacles,
pedestrian walkways, recreational features, lighting, and a stormwater treatment system. The
Project will dramatically improve the neighborhood and provide numerous benefits for the
community.
KidWorks CDC supports the Project and the City's efforts to beautify Santa Ana, enhance the
environment, and improve water quality. The Project takes steps towards increasing urban
green space, meeting important water quality goals, and addressing climate change.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact David Benavides at
(714) 864-9400 ext. 107 or David.benavides@kidworksoc.org.
Respectfully submitted,
David Benavides
Executive Director/CEO
KidWorks CDC
The KidWorks Mission: Restoring at -risk neighborhoods ... one life at a time.
