13 <br />and Graffiti Task Force Investigator, will be paid five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 2.5% of base pay). <br /> <br />L. Employees in the class of Correctional Officer or Correctional Supervisor, who are <br />continuously and regularly assigned to either the 207(k) 7/12.5 Corrections Work <br />Schedule, or the 4/10.5 Corrections Administration Work Schedule, shall be paid <br />six (6) salary rate ranges (approximately 3% of base pay). This assignment pay is <br />compensation for the additional 30 minutes work or briefing time each day. <br />CalPERS has determined this pay additive does not qualify as special compensation <br />under Title 2 CCR Section 571(a) and as such, is not reportable as final <br />compensation when calculating retirement benefits. <br /> <br /> M. Employees in the class of Firearms Examiner who are regularly and continuously <br />assigned to and actually performing duties in a “lead” supervisory capacity over a <br />primary functional unit, will be paid ten (10) salary rate ranges (approximately <br />5.0% of base pay). <br /> <br />N. Notwithstanding the specific provisions of Article V, Section 5.1, A – M, an <br />employee who is regularly and continuously assigned to lead (“lead is defined in <br />Lexipol Policy 1039) a functional unit which includes positions in the same or <br />lower classifications as the incumbent, may be compensated for said duties upon <br />mutual agreement of the City and POA and approval of the Police Chief and the <br />Executive Director of Human Resources. This compensation (as defined in each <br />of the subsections) shall be referred to as “lead pay.” <br /> <br />O. An employee in the class of Forensic Specialist I or Forensic Specialist II who is <br />continuously and regularly assigned as a Tenprint – AFIS Technician will be paid <br />five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5% of base pay). <br /> <br />P. An employee in the class of Forensic Specialist I or Forensic Specialist II who is <br />continuously and regularly assigned as a Fingerprint Analyst will be paid five (5) <br />salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5% of base pay). In no event shall an employee <br />receive more than ten (10) salary rate ranges (approximately 5% of base pay) more <br />than their then current base monthly salary step for performing the duties of both <br />the Tenprint – AFIS Technician and Fingerprint Analyst. <br /> <br />5.2 Shift Differential. <br /> <br />A. Non-Sworn Personnel. Each employee in the classes of Animal Service Officer I, <br />Animal Service Officer II, Forensic Specialist I, Crime Research Analyst, Forensic <br />Specialist II, Police Communications Supervisor, Police Investigative Specialist, <br />Police Property & Evidence Specialist, Police Service Officer, Police Evidence and <br />Supply Specialist, Police Services Dispatcher, Communications Services Officer, <br />Correctional Officer, Correctional Supervisor and Parking Control Officer who is <br />continuously and regularly assigned to a schedule of work which requires that they <br />actually work a minimum of four and one-half (4 1/2) hours between the hours of <br />5:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. will be paid a shift differential at a rate set ten (10) salary <br />rate ranges (approximately 5.0% of base pay).
