Time Extension of Measure M2 CTFP Construction Grant Funds
April 19, 2022
Page 2
2
5
9
9
In accordance with CTFP guidelines, the construction phases for these projects must be
awarded by June 30, 2022. Acquisition and relocation activities need to be completed
before construction can begin, and despite diligent efforts to prepare these projects for
construction, additional time is needed in order to complete the right-of-way acquisition
before construction contracts can be awarded.
CTFP guidelines provide a one-time, two-year extension of Measure M2 CTFP funding,
which will allow sufficient time to complete acquisitions and prepare the project for
construction. The request also helps avoid a potential lapse in grant funding. The table
below summarizes the request:
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
There is no environmental impact associated with the action.
FISCAL IMPACT
If the Recommended Action is not approved the City will relinquish $10,088,805 in
awarded construction grant funding that will expire.
Submitted By: Nabil Saba, P.E., Executive Director – Public Works Agency
Approved By: Kristine Ridge, City Manager
Project Name Resolution for
Application
Funding
Amount
OCTA Board
Approval /
Programmed FY
Extension
Request
Warner Avenue
Improvements from Oak
St. to Grand Ave.
November 17, 2020
Res. no. 2020-084
$9,076,305 May, 2021
FY 2021-22
2-yr. time
extension
Bristol Street and Memory
Lane Intersection
Improvements
November 17, 2020
Res. no. 2020-085
$1,012,500 May, 2021
FY 2021-22
2-yr. time
extension
