Local food vendors will also provide tasty drinks and treats <br />for purchase. <br />5. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month @ Various Santa Ana locations <br />September 15 through October 15, 2022 <br />This citywide marketing campaign will promote and celebrate Hispanic <br />Heritage month in Santa Ana. The campaign will promote a combination of <br />City-produced events, as well as events produced by participating non-profit <br />organizations, businesses, educational institutions and neighborhood <br />organizations. Event producers with previous experience in creating successful <br />community events will be encouraged to apply. The City will market and <br />promote activities, events and programs during the campaign period and will <br />produce the opening and closing ceremony for the campaign. <br />6.Indigenous People’s Day Celebration @ Civic Center Plaza <br />Monday, October 10, 2022 and Monday, October 9, 2023 <br />This new cultural event celebrates the lives and cultures of Indigenous <br />Americans and provides education on the rich heritage, traditions and <br />contributions Indigenous people have had on American history. In collaboration <br />with the Santa Ana Public Library, this event will include music and dance <br />performances, educational demonstrations and exhibits, traditional food and <br />artisanal vendors. <br />7. Santa Ana Winter Village and Plaza Navideña @ Civic Center Plaza <br />November 19, 2022 – January 7, 2023 <br />Back by popular demand! The Santa Ana Winter Village will return to provide <br />a wide variety of activities for visitors of all ages, including family-friendly ice <br />skating, live entertainment, holiday shopping, delicious treats, warm <br />beverages, and so much more! The opening ceremony for the Winter Village <br />will include the City’s annual tree lighting ceremony, “Plaza Navideña”. <br />8.Revive Santa Ana 5K Run @ Flower Street and 6th Street <br />April 2023 <br />The annual 5K Run is moving to spring 2023! This annual community run <br />attracts over 2,000 runners of all ages and fitness levels. Winners in each <br />category will win a commemorative plaque and all participants will receive a <br />custom medal and t-shirt. The event will also include a health and wellness <br />resource fair, where attendees can learn about local resources, programs and <br />services available in their community.
