DARIEL TAPIA <br />Traffic Engineering Task Support <br />iteris <br />Mr. Tapia serves as Assistant Engineer Planner for Iteris' Consulting Solutions <br />and has been with the firm since 2021. He has over a year of experience <br />working in the field of Traffic Design. He has also been the primary designer <br />for numerous traffic signal modifications. He taken lead roles in the design <br />and implementation of multiple Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) <br />and several sidewalk enhancements. Mr. Tapia has familiarity with City <br />legislation regarding Traffic Commission and Planning Commission staff <br />reports. He is also experienced in the design of temporary traffic control <br />plans including his involvement with Garden Grove Open Streets 2021. <br />' Dariels' chief amusement during his leisure time includes <br />• camping and hiking. <br />EDUCATION <br />BS, Civil Engineering, California <br />Project Experience with Other Firms <br />p <br />State University of Long Beach, <br />CA, 2020 <br />Traffic Signal Modification for Lampson Avenue at Monarch Street — City <br />YEARS OF EXPERIENCE <br />of Garden Grove, CA <br />With Iteris: 1 Total: 1 <br />Mr. Tapia served as the lead designer for the relocation of the controller <br />cabinet and partial road rehabilitation. The project encompassed the <br />CORE DISCIPLINES <br />installation of new signal equipment. Mr. Tapia was also involved with the <br />Traffic Engineering <br />oversight of construction as well as the implementation of a new Cisco IE- <br />3000-4TC Fiber Switch. The project began in November 2019 and was <br />ITS Planning, Design, & <br />completed in December 2020. <br />Integration <br />Traffic Signal Modification for Euclid Street at Stanford Avenue — City of <br />AFFILIATIONS <br />Garden Grove, CA <br />American Society of Civil <br />Mr. Tapia embraced the role of the lead designer for this project which <br />Engineers (ASCE) <br />encompasses the installation of all new traffic equipment hardware. Project <br />components include the installation of two new signal poles with all new <br />Great Minds in STEM (GMiS) <br />equipment and the relocation of two existing signal poles. Upgraded <br />Orange County Traffic <br />controller foundation as well as a complete intersection rewire are within the <br />Engineering Council (OCTEC) <br />scope of the project. New mast arms with more vehicle heads will provide a <br />safer stopping sight distance for roadway conditions. The project began in <br />Society of Hispanic <br />September 2020 and is ongoing. <br />Professional Engineers (SHPE) <br />Traffic Signal Modifications along Garden Grove Boulevard — City of <br />Garden Grove, CA <br />Mr. Tapia was responsible for the design of the four intersections including <br />three offset intersections along Garden Grove Boulevard. The focus of the <br />project is to eliminate all signal poles from the medians and implement new <br />signals along the perimeter of the intersections to increase safety on the <br />roadway and decrease maintenance costs for the City. This project is an <br />expansion of the ongoing RTSSP project along Garden Grove Boulevard <br />where the timing coordination as well as implementation of upgraded signal <br />equipment is being performed by Iteris. This project began in June 2020 and <br />is ongoing. <br />
