DARIEL TAPIA <br />Traffic Engineering Task Support <br />Traffic and Intelligent Transportation Systems <br />Engineering Services, Main Street Regional Traffic <br />Signal Synchronization Projects (RTSSP), Orange <br />County Transportation Authority (OCTA) — Orange <br />County, CA <br />Mr. Tapia is involved with the design of this project. <br />Aspects of project will upgrade traffic signal <br />electronics and communications equipment, and <br />optimize signal timing along Main Street, a major <br />corridor that is comprised of 67 major signalized <br />intersections. As part of the project, all of these <br />intersections will be encompassed by Iteris' <br />Intersection -as -a -Service'" end -to -end solution by <br />delivering proactive monitoring. The scope of the <br />project includes the integration of intelligent <br />Transportation System (ITS) equipment and <br />communication infrastructure to support the <br />management of the cities' transportation network, <br />implement optimized coordination timing plans to <br />achieve optimal traffic flow, and improve overall <br />safety conditions. The project began in December <br />2019 and is ongoing. <br />Garden Grove Open Streets 2021 — City of Garden <br />Grove, CA <br />Mr. Tapia was responsible for designing temporary <br />traffic control plans for a City-wide event that <br />required many closures for pedestrians to have <br />access to streets. The plans include multiple lane <br />closures, street closures and detours that minimized <br />traffic congestion and avoided potential issues or <br />complaints from residents. The project began in <br />December 2019 and has been prolonged. <br />Local Streets Rehabilitation — City of Garden Grove, <br />CA <br />Mr. Tapia was involved with the design process and <br />construction of the road design within multiple <br />neighborhoods throughout the city. He assisted with <br />the surveying data collection, cross-section designs, <br />curb designs and the signing and striping. These <br />projects began in February 2020 and are ongoing. <br />Crosswalk Enhancement for Trask Avenue at Leda <br />Lane — City of Garden Grove, CA <br />Mr. Tapia served as the designer for the installation <br />of RRFBs at the existing crosswalk. The design also <br />incorporated an entire restriping of existing lane <br />lines, continental crosswalk and the installation of <br />new yield lines, red curb, and proper signage. Mr. <br />Tapia was also responsible for the management of <br />the construction phase for the project. This project <br />began in March 2020 and was completed in August <br />2020. <br />iteris <br />Crosswalk Enhancement for 9tn Street at Reva <br />Drive — City of Garden Grove, CA <br />Mr. Tapia served as the designer for the <br />enhancement and implementation of two RRFBs. <br />The project required a modification to existing <br />striping conditions which included shifting a left turn <br />pocket and reducing the length of a median. <br />Thermoplastic was utilized for all striping and <br />audible pedestrian push buttons where also utilized. <br />This project began in February 2020 and was <br />completed in August 2020. <br />Garden Grove Open Streets 2021 — City of Garden <br />Grove, CA <br />Mr. Tapia was responsible for designing temporary <br />traffic control plans for a City-wide event that <br />required many closures for pedestrians to have <br />access to streets.
