CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />RFP NO.: 21-122 <br />ON -CALL ELECTRICAL REPAIR AND REHABILITATION SERVICES <br />1. ELECTRICAL SERVICES <br />The Contractor shall be able to perform, but are not limited to, the following electrical services: <br />• Repair or replacement of motor control stations (up to 480 volts) <br />• Repair or replacement of exterior wiring, interior wiring, conduit, solid state soft starters, <br />variable -frequency drives (VFD), motor controls and motor control centers (MCC), <br />switch gears, fuses, electrical circuit boxes, transformers, programmable logic <br />controllers (PLCs), etc. <br />• Trouble shooting of existing electrical wiring and appurtenances (electrical testing) <br />• New installations of electrical wiring and appurtenances <br />• Telecommunication installations <br />• Instrumentation installations and fiber connections (not including programming) <br />• Technical electrician support to City Staff as requested <br />• Lighting installations <br />• Electrical distribution and control equipment installations (underground distribution <br />conduit, cables, and pull boxes) <br />• Poles, pole foundations and concrete work installations and excavations <br />• Excavations, backfilling and compaction for trenches and pull boxes <br />• Branch circuit panels and wiring installations <br />• Shop and record drawings, material submittals, and work schedules <br />2. PERFORMANCE TESTS <br />When requested by the City and upon completion of electrical installation, the Contractor shall <br />test and demonstrate that the system operates in accordance with the Drawings and <br />Specifications. Performance tests shall include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />1. Wire Testing; The Contractor shall perform insulation resistance tests on each <br />complete circuit prior to energizing. Insulation resistance between the conductors and <br />between the conductors and ground shall not be less than 25 megaohms. <br />2. Operation Testing: The Contractor shall test the operation of each control panel and <br />associated interlocks to verify proper functionality and performance. <br />3. RECORD DRAWINGS <br />The Contractor shall be capable of providing electrical plans marked with any changes, <br />deviations or addition to any part of the electrical work. The Contractor shall clearly indicate on <br />as -built plans the following information: <br />1. All conduits runs installed <br />2. Locations of underground conduits and stubouts accurately dimensioned <br />3.
