Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />ON -CALL TRAFFIC CONTROL SERVICES <br />RFP NO.: 21-120 <br />Introduction / Background <br />The City of Santa Ana intends to retain traffic control specialist contractor(s) on an as -needed or <br />"on -call" basis. A Professional Services Agreement will be entered into with one or more of the <br />qualified contractor(s) to provide professional traffic control services for a variety of projects in <br />the City. <br />The work consists of general traffic control services. Each project and location will vary and each <br />will be based on task order assignment. The selected contractor(s) shall comply with all City, local, <br />State and Federal traffic related regulations. On occasions, the selected contractor(s) will be asked <br />to provide professional engineering traffic plans for specific task orders, based on an agreed -upon <br />specific scope of services and fees. <br />Scope of Services <br />The work consists of temporary and permanent traffic control services and the necessary traffic <br />control devices, personnel and related equipment generally consisting of the following and not <br />limited to: <br />• PSMS citywide measure campaign <br />• Work area traffic control setup <br />• Job site flagging <br />• Lane closures <br />• Sidewalk closure <br />• Road closures (includes installation of K-Rail or water filled K-Rail and water truck used <br />to fill plastic K-Rail container) <br />• Vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian detours <br />• Special event and traffic control set-up and pick-up <br />• Maintenance of Traffic Control zone (reset and replace missing delineators and barricades, <br />etc... equipment) <br />The City's Project Manager will notify the contractor(s) when traffic control services are needed. <br />The contractor(s) must be able to respond within a 48-hour period for planned services and within <br />2-hours of an emergency task order. <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 21-120 <br />Page Al-1 <br />
