Agreement for On -Call Welding Services <br />January 18, 2022 <br />Page 2 <br />notified and 15 vendors downloaded proposal files. Three proposals were received and <br />evaluated by a selection committee. Based on the criteria as outlined in the RFP, all <br />proposals received were categorized as responsive, and their respective scores are as <br />follows: <br />FIRM <br />LOCATION <br />PROPOSAL SCORE <br />Vicon Enterprises, Inc. <br />Anaheim <br />91 <br />Superior Hot Tapping Services, Inc. <br />Riverside <br />85 <br />Smith Welding & Fabrication <br />Santa Ana <br />61 <br />In accordance with the RFP scores, staff recommends entering into agreements with <br />Vicon Enterprises, Inc. (Exhibit 1), and Superior Hot Tapping Services, Inc. (Exhibit 2), to <br />provide on -call welding services for the Water Resources Division. Both vendors do not <br />have previous engagements with the City. The proposals demonstrated high levels of <br />technical competency and experience performing similar services. The proposals <br />contained a clear path toward achieving City goals and objectives, as required by the <br />RFP. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with the action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are budgeted and available for expenditure in the current fiscal year and will be <br />budgeted in future fiscal years, including the renewal options, based on the needs of the <br />Water Resources Division.
