Security guards will be equipped with a smart- <br />phone with video/photo capability, real-time reporting, and transportation such as a <br />bicycle, cart, or automobile and direct communication with Santa Ana Police Department. <br />Security guard contact information will be shared with DTSA stakeholders, businesses, <br />and residents and may be called upon as needed. Security guards will be required to <br />wear a professional uniform and maintain a professional demeanor. <br />In addition to the schedule above, Patrol Solutions, LLC will be providing guard services <br />for the Santa Ana Winter Village in the Civic Center area, per the request of Public Works <br />Agency. The services will only span from December 2021 through January 2022 with <br />hours ranging between 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. (midnight). The Public Works Agency has <br />allocated dedicated funds to cover the cost of the security services for the Civic Center <br />area as noted in the Fiscal Impact below. <br />Based on the overall quality and thoroughness of the proposal, staff recommends the <br />selection of Patrol Solutions, LLC to provide unarmed security guard services in DTSA.
