Appropriation Adjustment for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant <br />September 21, 2021 <br />Page 2 <br />2 <br />0 <br />5 <br />8 <br />Scheduled debt payments (not including prepayment of principal on any <br />indebtedness incurred in the ordinary course of business prior to February 15, <br />2020) <br />Worker protection expenditures <br />Payments to independent contractors (not to exceed $100,000 in annual <br />compensation for an individual employee of an independent contractor) <br />Other ordinary and necessary business expenses, including maintenance costs <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) intends to use these <br />grant funds for payroll and maintenance costs of zoo staff. This will allow the PRCSA to <br />re-allocate the General Fund monies committed for this purpose to be used towards <br />much needed capital improvements at the Santa Ana Zoo, such as a visitor admission <br />ticketing system and website. Additional projects would involve mobility and accessibility <br />improvements for patrons.
