SECTION 3 <br />NATURAL GAS DRYER <br />1.1 Acceptable Manufacturers: <br />A. Xebec <br />B. PSB <br />C. Or approved equal <br />General: Skid mounted single tower gas dryer (dehydrator) suitable for use to dry pipeline <br />quality natural gas before being processed for use as a motor fuel. System will be furnished <br />complete and ready for use with all necessary accessories or components, whether <br />specified or not, necessary to provide a safe, durable, maintainable, and functional system. <br />1.2 Design Conditions <br />Design Flow Rate <br />Inlet Gas Pressure <br />Inlet Gas Temperature <br />Inlet Gas Water Content <br />Ambient Air Temperature <br />Vessel Design Temperature <br />Outlet Gas Water Content <br />Outlet Gas Dew Point <br />Duty Cycle <br />1.3 Filters: <br />Minimum 400 scfm <br />15 to 50 psig <br />50 to 60 deg F <br />7 Ibs/MMscf <br />20 deg F to 120 deg F <br />-20 deg F to 500 deg F <br />Per NFPA 52 <br />PerNFPA 52 <br />12 hrs/day <br />A. Pre -filter: A cartridge type coalescing pre -filter shall be located at the inlet to the dryer. Filter <br />element shall remove 99.99% of particles larger than 0.01 microns and aerosolslarger <br />than 0.1 microns. <br />B. After Filter: _A cartridge type filter shall be located at the outlet of the dryer. Filter element <br />shall remove 100% of the particles 1.0 microns or larger. <br />C. Housing and bowl shall be of aluminum or carbon steel and fitted with a drain port for <br />removal of collected liquids. <br />D.
