<br />Landscape Architectural Design for Standard -McFadden Park — RFP No. 21-055
<br />Task 8.1 — Site Plan
<br />DEA landscape architects will provide a site plan
<br />for the proposed items of construction. This plan
<br />will designate features of the proposed project
<br />including placement, detail references, material and
<br />manufacturer callouts, general construction notes,
<br />and specific elements of the overall design which are
<br />necessary for the proper construction of proposed
<br />items. At this time, we anticipate that the park will
<br />include some or all of the following: alley and on -site
<br />parking, picnic area, playground area, site furnishings
<br />/ amenities (bike racks, benches, trash receptacles,
<br />pedestrian bridges), skate park, basketball half court,
<br />exercise area, walking paths, landscaping, lighting,
<br />and fencing.
<br />Deliverables: 1 "=20' scale site plan.
<br />Task 8.2 — Site Utility Plan and Coordination
<br />DEA will perform utility research in preparation of the
<br />site utility plan. This research will include searching
<br />for available record utility data within or adjacent to
<br />the project limits. DEA will gather available information
<br />from the utility purveyors regarding their facilities in
<br />the project area. Underground plan utilities will be
<br />mapped by record public information only; subsurface
<br />utilities that are not identified on existing record maps
<br />will not be shown. The record utility information will be
<br />used to determine points of connection for electrical
<br />(Southern California Edison), irrigation and domestic
<br />water in the preparation of a site utility plan.
<br />Deliverables: Data collection, utility research, and
<br />the preparation of a site utility plan to provide power/
<br />electrical, irrigation and domestic water to the project
<br />site.
<br />Task 8.3 — Horizontal Control Plans
<br />DEA will prepare a 1 "= 20' scale horizontal control
<br />plan for the project depicting a survey control line
<br />and dimensions to pertinent site features for use
<br />in the layout of the park and site features during
<br />construction.
<br />Deliverables: 1" = 20' scale horizontal control plan.
<br />Task 8.4 - Grading and Drainage Plan
<br />DEA will prepare a 1 "= 20' scale precise grading,
<br />drainage and paving plan for the project depicting
<br />grading contours, slopes, finish surface elevations,
<br />drainage patterns, swales, typical cross sections,
<br />details and proposed civil related improvements
<br />including pavement, hardscape flatwork, and access
<br />ramps. The plan will consider ADA requirements for
<br />accessibilitv.
<br />Play Area at Mariposa Park
<br />Deliverables: 1" = 20' scale grading and drainage
<br />plan.
<br />Task 8.5— Alley Improvement Plans
<br />DEA will prepare a 1" = 40' improvement plan
<br />for the reconstruction of the alley adjacent to the
<br />project site. Plan will show finish surface elevations,
<br />drainage patterns, swales, typical cross sections,
<br />details and proposed civil related improvements
<br />including pavement, hardscape flatwork, and access
<br />ramps. The plan will consider ADA requirements for
<br />accessibility.
<br />Deliverables: 1" = 20' alley improvement plan.
<br />Task 8.6 — Water Quality Management Plan
<br />(WQMP)
<br />DEA will prepare a WQMP report to include treatment
<br />flow rate calculations, and descriptions of BMPs and
<br />treatment systems in order to provide compliance with
<br />water treatment requirements.
<br />Deliverables: WQMP report as noted above.
<br />Task 8.7 — Erosion Control Plan
<br />This plan will include the preparation of erosion
<br />control measures for use in construction to reduce
<br />sediment transport within the site.
<br />Deliverables: 1" = 20' erosion control plan.
<br />Task 8.8 - Site Amenities Plan
<br />This plan will include the recommended placement
<br />of amenities throughout the Standard -McFadden
<br />Park in addition to design and specification data of
<br />the proposed elements such as benches, drinking
<br />fountains, bike racks, trash receptacles, lighting, play
<br />equipment, shade structure, picnic tables, fencing,
<br />and skateboard ramps.
<br />Deliverables: 1" = 20' site amenities plan.
