<br />Norman Eke is the Senior Vice President and Managing Officer of Converse’s California
<br />Environmental offices. Norman has served as the Principal-in-Charge and Contract
<br />Administrator to deliver services to various Federal, State, Municipal, Financial, Utility,
<br />Educational, Transportation and Private clients.
<br />Norman has 31 years of experience in the fields of Environmental Due Diligence
<br />including Initial Site Assessments, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments,
<br />Asbestos/Lead-base Paint/Fungal Surveys and Specifications; Abatement Monitoring,
<br />Preliminary Endangerment Assessments and associated Supplemental Site
<br />Investigations and Removal Action Work Plans/Implementation, various forms of
<br />Remediation, Human Health Risk Assessment, and NPDES Permitting/Stormwater
<br />Management, Methane Assessment/ Monitoring/Design and Indoor Air Quality.
<br />Norman has been with Converse for 30 years. Norman is a Certified Asbestos
<br />Consultant. He has completed and managed asbestos surveys, abatement specifications
<br />and abatement monitoring projects for a wide variety of clientele on large and small
<br />projects. Many of the projects he has completed have been done on expedited
<br />schedules and in many cases under emergency response scenarios. Norman has
<br />Transportation project experience with completing Initial Site Assessments (ISAs), Phase
<br />I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), asbestos surveys, and specifications in
<br />various formats. Work has been completed for Los Angeles County Metropolitan
<br />Transportation Authority (Metro) on various alignments, Orange County Transportation
<br />Authority (OCTA), San Bernardino Express (SBX) upgrades, Riverside Transit Authority’s
<br />Vine Street Mobility Hub and Riverside County Transportation Commission’s (RCTC)
<br />Mid-County Parkway.
<br />Norman has provided consulting services to various public works and economic
<br />development departments within Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino
<br />Counties. As well as numerous cities including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Pasadena,
<br />Burbank, Norwalk, Vernon, Riverside, San Bernardino, Placentia, and Irvine and various
<br />private owners and civil engineering firms.
<br />He has provided consultation directly to School Districts, Community College Districts
<br />and Universities, which include Los Angeles County Office of Education, Los Angeles
<br />Community College District, Rancho Santiago Community College District, San Jacinto
<br />Community College District, Corona-Norco Unified School District, Los Angeles Unified
<br />School District, Long Beach Unified School District, San Bernardino City Unified School
<br />District, Desert Sands Unified School District, and Irvine Unified School District.
<br />Norman is a former Officer and current member within ASTM Committee E50 for
<br />Environmental Assessment, Risk Management and Corrective Action (Membership
<br />Secretary (2017) and was Subcommittee Chairman for the ASTM E50.02 Real Estate
<br />Assessment and Management Sub Committee, which includes standards for Phase I &
<br />Education
