Mr. Long currently oversees Hazardous Waste contracts for the Los Angeles County Department <br />of Public Works, Irvine Ranch Water District and the City of Long Beach. Managed Superfund site at Omega Chemical Company sampling and identifying over 4,000 <br />drums of unknown hazardous waste. Also directed Health & Safety training and compliance for the Long Beach <br />Transportation and Remediation office. <br />Emergency Response Operations Manager, Pacific Environmental (1980-1994) <br />While responsible for developing the emergency response division, responded to over 600 incidents. Also <br />directed the activities of the field crews in industrial cleaning, clandestine drug labs, drum management, tank <br />removals and plant closures. As the Health & Safety supervisor, developed the Injury and Illness Prevention <br />Program in compliance with SB 198. <br />Noteworthy Projects: <br />Project Manager, Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, April 1996 to present (Single Source) <br />While working with Ocean Blue, Mr. Long served the Los Angeles County for the last 25 years. Valued at <br />$3.5M per year, services include homeless encampment cleanings, emergency response, hazardous waste <br />management, Stormdrain management, and abandoned waste pickups.
