This entails the coordination of supervisors, drivers and technicians on decontamination, <br />demolition, industrial cleaning, site remediation, emergency response, waste management and transportation <br />projects. Additionally, as Ocean Blue's Transportation Manager, he verifies that our fleet of vehicles is well <br />maintained and ready to respond to emergencies <br />Project Manager, M.P. Services, Inc. (1993 - 1996) <br />Started the Long Beach branch office. Was responsible for the entire L.A./Orange Counties operation, including <br />business development and maintenance of large refinery, marketing and manufacturing clients. The operation <br />included transportation, industrial cleaning, emergency response and demolition jobs. <br />Transportation Supervisor, Pacific Environmental. (1980 - 1993) <br />Responsible for refinery, marketing and marine accounts. Interfacing with clients from beginning of projects <br />until completion, he became responsible for client development. Delegated jobs for the vacuum trucks, managed <br />oil spill operations, drilling rig change-overs, over the water transfers, tank cleanings, supervised cleaning crews. <br />Responsible for hauling hazardous waste to class 1 landfills. <br />Noteworthy Projects: <br />Project Manager, Caltrans,1996 to present <br />Mr. Acosta is Ocean Blue's direct liaison to Caltrans. Mr. Acosta is the first responder & project manager for <br />Caltrans spills in Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, Orange & San Diego Counties. Our contract with <br />Caltrans is on an open P.O. basis. In addition, Mr. Acosta has relationships with many oil/fuel transporters, <br />so he is able to save Caltrans millions of dollars by billing the responsible parties directly. <br />Project Manager, Port of Long Beach, October 1998 to present (Single Source) <br />Ocean Blue has been the Port of Long Beach's HAZMAT contractor for the last 22 years. While the Port keeps <br />3 separate contractors for this contract, we are the only ones to have been continuously chosen for the last 22 <br />years. Mr. Acosta services many of the Port's tenants as well.
