Santa Ana 2020 Urban Water Management Plan <br />arcadis.com <br />1-3 <br />Section 4 Water Use Characterization provides historical, current, and projected water use by customer <br />category for the next 25 years within the City’s service area and the projection methodology used by <br />MWDOC to develop the 25-year projections. <br />Section 5 Conservation Target Compliance reports the SB X7-7 water use conservation target <br />compliance of the City (individually and as a member of the OC 20x2020 Regional Alliance). <br />Section 6 Water Supply Characterization describes the current water supply portfolio of the City as well <br />as the planned and potential water supply projects and water exchange and transfer opportunities. <br />Section 7 Water Service Reliability and Drought Risk Assessment assesses the reliability of the <br />City’s water supply service to its customers for a normal year, single dry year, and five consecutive dry <br />years scenarios. This section also includes a DRA of all the supply sources for a consecutive five-year <br />drought period beginning 2021. <br />Section 8 Water Shortage Contingency Planning is a brief summary of the standalone WSCP <br />document (Appendix H) which provides a structured guide for the City to deal with water shortages, <br />incorporating prescriptive information and standardized action levels, lists the appropriate actions and <br />water use efficiency measures to be taken to ensure water supply reliability in times of water shortage <br />conditions, along with implementation actions in the event of a catastrophic supply interruption. <br />Section 9 Demand Management Measures provides a comprehensive description of the water <br />conservation programs that the City has implemented, is currently implementing, and plans to implement <br />in order to meet its urban water use reduction targets. <br />Section 10 Plan Adoption, Submittal, and Implementation provides a record of the process the City <br />followed to adopt and implement its UWMP.
