Public Works Agency https://www.santa-ana.org/pw Item # 16 City of Santa Ana 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 Staff Report May 18, 2021 TOPIC: Design Services for the Santiago Park Main Street Entrance Design Project AGENDA TITLE Approve Agreement with Hunsaker & Associates to Provide Design Services for the Santiago Park Main Street Entrance Design Project in an Amount not to Exceed $250,000 for a Three -Year Term (Specification No. 20-2731) (Non -General Fund) RECOMMENDED ACTION Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Hunsaker & Associates Irvine, Inc. to provide concept design, design development, and contract documents, in the amount of $248,702, with a contingency of $1,298, for a total amount not to exceed $250,000, for a three-year term beginning May 18, 2021 and expiring May 17, 2024, with an option for two, one-year extensions, subject non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. DISCUSSION On December 2, 2020, the Public Works Agency released Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 20-154, seeking a qualified architectural firm to provide a concept design, design development, and contract documents for the Santiago Park Main Street Entrance Design project. The scope of work includes engineering staff support and assistance with the overall delivery of the project, including pre -construction tasks, construction management, ensuring the project is completed in accordance with the contract documents, project closeout, and supervision of the warranty phase for the Santiago Park Main Street Entrance Design Project (Exhibit 1). The RFP was advertised on the City's online procurement management and publication system, with proposals due on December 23, 2020.
