Police Department <br />https://www.santa-ana.org/pd <br />Item # 20 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />Staff Report <br />April 20, 2021 <br />TOPIC: Parking Citation Processing Services <br />AGENDA TITLE: <br />Approve an Amendment to Agreement with Data Ticket, Inc. in the Amount of $1,007,685 <br />for Parking Citation Processing Services for the Police Department <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the agreement with Data Ticket, <br />Inc. for parking citation processing services in the amount of $1,007,685 for the period of <br />April 20, 2021 through February 6, 2022, subject to non -substantive changes approved <br />by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Santa Ana Police Department's Parking Enforcement Unit is composed of a parking <br />enforcement supervisor and ten parking control officers. The team handles all parking <br />and abandoned vehicle -related complaints and enforcement throughout the City. They <br />also monitor the Downtown parking meters, street sweeping enforcement routes, and <br />enforce oversized vehicle violations. During the past year, parking enforcement officers <br />have been instrumental in providing parking and traffic control at multiple weekly food <br />drives throughout the City and COVID-19 testing and vaccination locations. In addition, <br />the City has an agreement with Serco Inc., which supplements the parking control unit by <br />providing nine parking ambassadors to handle all parking -related issues.
