Requirements for State Certification: <br />1. Must pass Nurse Assistant Training Program. <br />2. Must complete required minimum hours of sixty (60) classroom hours and one hundred (100)externship/clinical hours In a facility <br />that Includes a federally mandated 16 hours of training regarding specific topics listed on NATP prior to patient contact. <br />3, The Pearson View test is made up of both a written and oral examination In addition to a skills evaluation. Thepurpose of the <br />examination is to make sure that the student understands and can safely perform theJob of an entry-level nurse aide and qualifies <br />as Industry certification.. The student will fill out the "Certified Nursing Assistant Application." The student can then take a look <br />on the Regional Testing Center webslte at: www.regionaltestingcenter,org to look at times and locations open for testing. Once <br />there, 2 different times/dates of choice can be picked for testing. For testing before sending payment out. The student can then <br />take a COPY of the application along with a money order or cashier's check, made payable to: <br />Regional Testing Center <br />Hosted at Golden West College at: <br />15744 Golden West College, 15744 Golden West Street, Forum I, Room 112A Huntington Beach, CA 92647 Regional Testing <br />phone number (for any questions): (714) 895-8708 <br />The student will then send both the application and payment atthat time. Please go over the application to make sure It is correct <br />and complete before mailing to the testing center. Incomplete applications will not be processed. The student will receive a card <br />In the mail with the testing date, time, and location where both the manual and written test will be taken for certification. <br />The student will bring a Social Security card, government photo ID, Original 283B Initial Application form and original application <br />to the testing site the day of examination. <br />If the student falls to bring any of the above listed documents on the day of testing, the testing site will reschedule the test of <br />which there will be a fee. <br />Testing Fees <br />Both manual and written test <br />$120 <br />Manual skills only <br />$80 <br />Written test only <br />$40 <br />Oral written test (additional fee) <br />$15 <br />Rescheduling fee <br />$25 <br />**Money order or cashier's check only <br />Equipment used: Textbook, workbook, medical terminology book, whiteboard, overhead projector, TV/DVD, stethoscope, B/P cuff, <br />medical lab supplies. <br />26 <br />
