Classes are held at 1601 McCarthy Blvd., Milpitas, CA 95035. The campus is located in a <br />high-technology R&D and business development area, situated three blocks north of the <br />Montague Expressway just west of where Interstate 880, the Nimitz Freeway. The fully <br />landscaped and abundant parking areas provide smooth traffic flow and easy building access; the <br />peaceful neighborhood provides an appropriate learning environment for the students. The <br />building is accessible to people using wheelchairs. The campus provides enough space for <br />lecturing and activities and can be expanded easily if needed. Public transportation is available to <br />the campus. Students can take the Valley Transportation Authority (VAT) light rail to reach the <br />campus, Once get off the VAT light rail stop, it only takes a few minutes to walls into the <br />classroom, <br />CSTU adopts small classroom strategy to ensure the best learning environment. The maximum <br />student to instructor ratios for classroom instruction is 25:1. The building provides high speed <br />Wi-Fi internet services to all students and faculties. The facilities have adequate lighting, are <br />air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible. Free student parking (including handicapped) is <br />available around the building. <br />The building is equipped with central heating/air conditioning systems. All classrooms have a <br />temperature control unit and is equipped with a large TV screen connected to an instructor's <br />demo computer with access to the campus networks system and Internet, and a white board in <br />addition to other standard classroom provisions. <br />Business office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Class sessions <br />vary and are described in the course information section that accompanies each program, CSTU <br />observes most major holidays and closes for a winter break between Christmas and New Year's <br />Day, A complete listing is provided at the back of this catalog. <br />This institution is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private <br />Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the state <br />standards as set forth in the CEC and 5, CCR. <br />California Science and Technology University offers scholarships to students accepted into the <br />Emerging Technology Training program or the degree programs. The scholarship for accepted <br />students referred by career organizations is to cover the gap between the tuition and the funds <br />provided by the career organizations.
