graduate semester credits in transfer toward a Master's degree program, earned in graduate <br />courses for which a grade of `B" or higher was earned. <br />To enable the evaluation of prior college work, official transcripts must be provided, <br />Appropriately accredited postsecondary institutions are defined as those accredited by an <br />accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, or by an <br />accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or, <br />for non -United States institutions, an educational institution approved by an equivalent authority. <br />Applicants with an undergraduate degree at the baccalaureate level from a school outside the <br />United States must have their undergraduate transcripts evaluated by an independent credential <br />evaluation service agency. CSTU recommends using an agency that is approved by National <br />Association of Credential Evaluation Services (MACES). The evaluation findings will be <br />accepted as the satisfaction of the degree requirement when indicating that an applicant's degree <br />is the equivalent of one received from a regionally or nationally accredited or approved college <br />in the United States. <br />ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES <br />To apply for admission, the prospective student must complete the following: <br />1. Educational History: <br />Applicants must also submit their educational history as part of their application. The history <br />must include names, locations, and colleges and/or universities' enrollment information. <br />2. Proof of Undergraduate Degree Completion: <br />Applicants must present proof of their undergraduate degree and transcript in one of the <br />following formats. <br />(a) Official copies sent directly to CSTU from an official authority (Ministry of Education, the <br />school itself, etc.); the copies must be received unopened. <br />(b) Photocopies of the original degree and transcript approved by an official authority or by a <br />notary. <br />(c) Original Diploma and transcript. Diplomas and transcripts that are not in English need to be <br />submitted together with an official translation. In certain cases, the Admissions Office may <br />require an applicant to present additional documentation. <br />California Science and Technology University does not accept hours or credit earned through <br />challenge examinations, achievement tests, or experiential learning. <br />California Science and Technology University does not admit ability -to -benefit students. <br />Page 10 of 65 <br />
