• Any action which would grossly violate the purpose of the University or the rights of <br />those who comprise the University; <br />• Any act, omission to act or conduct which would be considered a crime under <br />federal/state/local law, <br />Disciplinary action may include probation, suspension, and dismissal from the University and/or <br />notification to the Department of Homeland Security. Students suspected of committing any <br />violation of university policy are accorded procedures consistent with due process typically <br />before disciplinary action is imposed. However, inappropriate students may be suspended prior <br />to a due process hearing. <br />Any violation of university policy (including all forms of academic dishonesty) can result in a <br />student being barred from graduate or professional schools at this or other universities. In <br />addition, violating University policy can make a student ineligible for government commissions <br />or other employment. <br />CSTU has adopted policies with regard to student rights and grievances that are maintained in <br />the University's policy manuals. The University's policy seeks to treat all students with respect <br />and fairness. All students may request access to or release of, at reasonable times, his or her <br />education records as maintained by the University. Such a request must be in writing and <br />addressed to the registrar. The written request must specify the records that the student desires to <br />access or to be released, and to whom released. A student may request any special letters or <br />copies of documents pertaining to his/her student file but must pay the cost of producing or <br />reproducing such documents. <br />A student may request changes in his or her records. If, on proper showing of evidence, a <br />material error in the record is proved, a change or correction will be made. The University has <br />adopted a policy whereby all students have the right to appeal decisions of faculty and staff <br />based upon university policy. <br />Any questions a student may have regarding this catalog that have not been satisfactorily <br />answered by the institution may be directed to the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education at <br />1747 N.
