be first used to repay any student financial aid programs from which the student received <br />benefits, in proportion to the amount of the benefits received, and any remaining amount shall be <br />paid to the student. If the student has received federal student financial aid funds, the student is <br />entitled to a refund of monies not paid from federal student financial aid program funds. <br />California Science and Technology University is in the process of participating in federal and <br />state financial aid programs. CSTU accepts payment for tuition, books, equipment and other fees <br />through cash payment, Zelle, PayPal, or personal or third -party checks. Payment in full is <br />required prior to beginning each course. <br />Students assume the responsibility for payment of the tuition costs in full, either through direct <br />payment or through a third party financial plan. All financial arrangements must be made before <br />the beginning of each course. <br />California Science and Technology University measures its programs in semester credit hours. A <br />credit hour is defined as an amount of work represented in intended learning outcomes and <br />verified by evidence of student achievement for academic activities as established by the <br />institution comprising the following units: didactic learning environment; supervised laboratory <br />setting of instruction; externship; and/or out -of -class work/preparation. A clock hour is defined <br />as 50 minutes of instruction in a 60-minute period of time. Generally, a clock hour begins at the <br />top of the hour and ends at the fifty -minute mark. <br />One semester credit hour equals 45 units comprised of the following academic activities: <br />Page 34 of 65 <br />
