Alcala, Abigail
From:
(null) (null) <
Sent:
Tuesday, October 3, 2023 8:38 AM
To:
eComment
Subject:
Item #17
To whom this may concern,
My intention of this email is to request the denial of the appeal of item #17. As a long time resident, I have seen the
increase of homeless individuals in the area. They take over the local parks and shopping centers, urinating and
defecating on public sidewalks/parking lots. Gas stations and Liquor stores appear to be the meeting/hangout area for
the local homeless population and we already have plenty gas stations in the area. The homeless population often are
mentally ill as well as intoxicated and become violent and unruly. Having the elderly as well as children in my
neighborhood (which is very close proximity of the proposed gas station), makes me very nervous to see what time of
decline of the area would come with building an additional gas station. Also, with the anticipation of more residents
purchasing electric vehicles, gas stations will be in less demand.
I appreciate your time regarding this matter,
S. Jaimerena
