Alcala, Abigail
From: Coral Kranz <
Sent: Tuesday, October 3, 2023 10:20 AM
To: eComment
Subject: Agenda Item #17 - 2230 N. Tustin Av
To whom it may concern,
I am writing as a parent of a child at Plumfield Preschool who is extremly opposed to a gas station going into the vacant lot. There are
children ages 2-5 at that school and being directly next to a gas station is a threat to their safety for several reasons:
1. the traffic around that light already is horrible and adding a gas station serves as more car traffic while kids are playing outside and
parents are driving with children.
2. the 7/11 gas station just a street away already attracts a rather large population of people expereinceing homlessness and I
personally would not rather bring that population of individuals close to a school. Several times in leaving the parking lot of Plumfield
my child and I have had interactions with indivuduals from this population who are intoxicated and acting erratic resulting in my car
being spit on and a cup of an unknown liquid being thrown at the window where my son sits while waiting at the light.
3. Gas stations let off harmful fumes into the surrounding area and I do not believe our children need to be exposed to any more of it
than I am sure they already do.
Please consider mine and many other parent concerns in your decision and please uphold your orgininal decision to NOT allow a gas
station in that lot.
Thank you,
Coral Kranz
Sent from Yahoo Mail.
