Cloud Computing <br />Program length: 40 hours (4 hours a day, two days a week for 5 weeks) <br />Instruction method: Distance <br />Program Description: In this Certificate course, the student will be introduced to AWS products, services, <br />and common solutions with demos, knowledge checks, and hands-on lab activities. She will learn the <br />basic fundamentals to become more proficient in AWS and be empowered to make informed decisions <br />about IT solutions based on business requirements. <br />Learning Objectives: <br />At the completion of this Amazon Web Services (AWS) course, the student will attain the skills to deliver <br />significant technical and business benefits by fully leveraging AWS. As a secure, flexible, scalable cloud <br />services platform, AWS offers computing power, database storage, content delivery and other <br />functionality to help businesses scale and grow. <br />The student will learn how to: <br />- Apply best practices for creating an AWS-based cloud solution <br />- Leverage AWS computing services to provision virtual machines <br />- Implement highly durable and reliable storage systems <br />- Transparently handle spikes in demand with elastic load balancing and auto scaling <br />Occupational Objectives: Successful graduates will be employable as Network Support professionals. <br />(SOC Code 15-1244) <br />Detailed Syllabus: <br />AWS platform terminology and concepts.
