CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />STREET SWEEPING SERVICES 30 <br /> <br /> <br /> 6. Employ truth and accuracy in reporting customer service records. <br /> <br />XXVII. ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SERVICES TO BE OFFERED ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS <br /> Services described below may be provided by a Subcontractor but must be managed by <br /> the awarded contractor (street sweeping provider). Proposals submitted without this <br /> service component may be deemed NON-RESPONSIVE. <br /> <br />A. BIKE LANE SWEEPING <br />1. Bike Lane Sweeping shall be comprised of sweeping protected (raised curb) and non- <br />protected bike lanes with mini-street sweeper to ensure there is no debris in the path of <br />cyclists that could pose a hazard. These bike lanes are typically boxed in by curbs, <br />barriers or reflective markers, effectively preventing your normal street sweeping <br />operations to clean these lanes. Currently, the City of Santa Ana has approximately 10 <br />miles of protected bike lanes and has a future build out of approximately 30 miles or <br />more. <br />2. Mini-street sweeper shall be able to sweep a protected bike lane with a width as low as <br />67-inches wide. <br /> <br />B. CREW LABOR <br /> <br />Services and work to be performed by Contractor shall consist of, but not be limited to, the <br />following: <br />1. Removal and Disposal of Debris/Rubbish <br />Debris and rubbish may include, but Is not limited to the following: <br /> <br />a. Bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, appliances, scrap metals, junk, <br />automobile parts or machinery, tires, televisions and other electronic devices; <br /> <br />b. Garbage, litter, cardboard, metal cans, glass, feces, fruit/vegetable matter; <br /> <br />c. Concrete, asphalt, bricks or other construction debris; and <br /> <br />d. Tree debris, cut brush, tree limbs, and similar materials. <br /> <br />e. Weed removal via mechanical or manual methods <br />2. Hand sweeping (or blowing) of streets, sidewalks and similar areas. <br />3. Porter Services <br />a. Shall include litter pick-up, including but not limited to unwanted or useless <br />materials, or rejected matter, gum, food remains, sewage, excrements, dust, dirt, <br />decals, liquid or dried matter, hypodermic needles, soiled clothing, blankets, and <br />cleaning of Refuse Container, outdoor benches, bollards, and light poles. <br />b. Cleaning of benches, bollards, lights poles on a regular basis using clean <br />cloths and a cleaning solution. <br />c. Service locations and routes will be provided by the City.
