Councilmember Bacerra spoke in support of Option 2. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the appointment and terms of office for the additional <br />members. <br />Councilmember Penaloza suggested staff select the two additional members from the <br />City's Senior Centers. <br />Mayor Amezcua spoke in support of Option 2 and selecting the two individual <br />members from the City's two Senior Centers. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Lopez echoed previous comments. <br />Councilmember Phan asked for clarification regarding the age requirement for <br />Seniors. <br />Councilmember Hernandez spoke in support of staffs recommendation. <br />General consensus to support Option 2 as presented by staff to add two seats to the <br />Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission to represent older adults. <br />**END OF BUSINESS CALENDAR** <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br />19. Environmental Sanitation and Roadway Cleaning Fee Work Study Session <br />Department(s): Public Works Agency <br />Recommended Action: Discuss and provide direction to staff. <br />MINUTES: Item No. 19 was considered at 8:48 P.M. <br />Public Works Director Nabil Saba gave a presentation regarding the Environmental <br />Sanitation and Road Way Cleaning Fee. <br />Councilmember Vazquez expressed concern with increased fees and services. <br />Councilmember Bacerra echoed previous comments. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the RFP, rate study, and timeframe associated with the <br />new contract, rates, and fees implementation.
