<67) <br />� EOCON <br />PETRINA ZEN, PE <br />PROJECT ENGINEER <br />City of Santa Ana <br />RFP 23-123 — On -Call Geotechnical Engineering Services <br />Ms. Zen was an engineering intern from California State <br />Polytechnic University, Pomona, and was brought on <br />board because of her understanding of geotechnical <br />engineering practices and quick learning capabilities. <br />She has been with Geocon for nine years and is <br />responsible for aspects of projects including coordination <br />and execution of field explorations, assignment of <br />laboratory testing, review and interpretation of laboratory <br />testing results, engineering analysis, the evaluation of <br />stormwater infiltration rates, and the preparation of <br />technical reports and letters in Los Angeles and Orange County. Her <br />experience includes city and state facilities, commercial and residential <br />developments, educational institutions, and multi -story structures with <br />subterranean parking levels. If needed, Ms. Zen also performs geotechnical <br />inspection and testing services during construction. Geocon <br />performed sampling and testing in general conformance with the Green Book specifications, current American <br />Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methodology and/or other applicable procedures. Samples were <br />tested for Wet Track Abrasion, Slurry Emulsion Oil Content, and Slurry Aggregate Gradation. Geocon <br />performed various test on multiple streets throughout the City of Newport Beach in order to improve roadway <br />conditions throughout the City. <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES, CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL, BALDWIN PARK, POMONA, <br />CALIFORNIA <br />Geocon performed a geotechnical investigation report for the proposed California Highway Patrol Facility in <br />the City of Pomona, California. The project consists of constructing a new CHP field office campus as well as <br />a one-story office building, auto shop with car wash bay, radio vault building with equipment storage, <br />communications antenna, parking lots and associated driveways, curb and gutter, and sidewalk <br />improvements. As a Project Engineer, Ms. Zen was responsible for the coordination and execution of the field <br />exploration programs, including utility mark out and site drilling, assignment of laboratory testing, engineering <br />analyses, and authoring technical reports and letters. <br />ORANGE COUNTY FIRE AUTHORITY TRAINING TOWER, IRVINE, CALIFORNIA <br />Geocon provided a geoenvironmental investigation for the Orange County Fire Authority Training Tower <br />under our On -Call contract. The site was previously occupied by two campuses; one consisted of a trench <br />rescue operation training station, and the other campus consisted of an unpaved parking and storage area. <br />The proposed project site was improved with a three-story training tower, a new roof rescue training station, <br />two shipping containing training structures, an 18-foot-tall splash wall training prop, and two single -story <br />modular structures with associated toilet room and shower.
