Resolution Declaring Election Results <br />December 5, 2023 <br />Page 2 <br />The votes were as follows: <br />Shall Jesse Lopez be recalled (removed) from the office of Councilmember for <br />Ward 3, Santa Ana? <br />YES 2,993 <br />NO 3,867 <br />The accompanying resolution (Exhibit 1) and Certificate of Registrar of Voters to Result <br />of the Canvass of the City of Santa Ana Special Recall Election Returns (Exhibit 2) reflect <br />the full, true, and correct Statement of Vote of the Special Recall Election held on <br />November 14, 2023. By adopting the resolution, the City Council declares the results of <br />the election that Jessie Lopez is not recalled from the office of Councilmember for Ward <br />3. <br />Accepting the election results as certified by the County of Orange Registrar of Voters will <br />enter the vote into the official record of the City and allow for certification and the <br />confirmation of the November 14, 2023 special election. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />Submitted By: Jennifer L.
