Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with America on Track in the <br />amount of $200,000 for a one-year term, with an option to extend for one year, for a <br />two-year aggregate total not to exceed $400,000, for gang prevention and intervention <br />services, for a term beginning December 1, 2023, subject to non- substantive changes <br />approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (Agreement No. 2023-191). <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Nati's House dba Neutral <br />Ground in the amount of $200,000 for a one-year term, with an option to extend for one <br />year, for a two-year aggregate total not to exceed $400,000, for gang prevention and <br />intervention services, for a term beginning December 1, 2023, subject to <br />non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney <br />(Agreement No. 2023-192). <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Phan reported a recusal on recommended action no. 1 <br />for Item No. 30 and left the dais at 9:02 P.M. <br />Councilmember Hernandez spoke in support of the item. <br />Mayor Amezcua spoke in support of the item and requested additional data. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Lopez spoke in support of the item. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Hernandez moved to approve the recommended <br />action no. 1 for Item No. 30 as part of the Consent Calendar, seconded by <br />Councilmember Penaloza. <br />The motion carried, 6-0-1, by the following roll call vote: <br />CITY COUNCIL 19 NOVEMBER 07, 2023 <br />
