Prepare a <br />schedule of technology upgrades and <br />necessary resources to expand online <br />services that maximize economies of <br />scale and inter-department solutions. <br />Upgrades should include both physical <br />and process improvements, such as <br />establishing electronic plan checking, the <br />digitization of City records and the <br />citywide records management process, <br />and online appointment scheduling <br />system. <br />PBA/Finance 2022 - <br />2024 <br />In 2023, PBA continued working with its <br />selected vendor, Avolve, to establish <br />and officially launch an electronic plan <br />check system to streamline review and <br />facilitate online plan submittal. <br />Safety 1.1 No Agency coordination. Communicate <br />with FEMA annually regarding updates <br />to Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Letter <br />of Map Revisions. <br />PBA Ongoing The California Department of Water <br />Resources (CDWR) is the agency <br />contracted by FEMA to manage <br />compliance with FEMA standards. The <br />City communicated with CDWR <br />representatives and determined there <br />were no changes to the maps in 2023. <br />Safety 1.2 No Flood resistant buildings. Require that <br />new structures in or near a 100-year <br />floodplain be sited and designed to be <br />flood resistant and not inhibit flood <br />flows. Retrofit existing critical facilities <br />within the floodplain to maintain <br />structural and operational integrity <br />during a flood. <br />PBA Ongoing Continued to require that new <br />structures in a 100-year floodplain be <br />sited and designed to meet all <br />applicable codes and standards.
