Explore <br />a collaborative program with schools, <br />nonprofit organizations, and local artists <br />to create and maintain public art in <br />public spaces. <br />CDA 2023 In 2023, the Arts and Culture Office <br />staff continued to collaborate with <br />school districts and local artists to <br />install public art in the City. <br />Urban <br />Design <br />5.3 No Placemaking elements at focus <br />intersections. Coordinate street signage <br />and branding at focus intersections, <br />consistent with public realm plans and <br />district identity. <br />PWA/PBA 2022 - <br />2027 <br />Completed the South Main <br />Improvements Project. Complete with <br />decorative concrete, string lighting, <br />decorative signage, and monuments at <br />the focus intersections. <br />Urban <br />Design <br />6.1 No Landmarks. Establish and implement a <br />Landmark program that identifies, <br />maintains, and promotes city landmarks <br />and memorable places. <br />PBA/CDA 2024 In 2023, the Little Saigon monument <br />was re-installed at the border of Santa <br />Ana and Westminister. Later in 2024, a <br />monument will be installed in honor of <br />the Chinese Americans and Chinatown <br />that used to exist in Downtown Santa <br />Ana in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
