Housing for People <br />with Disabilities, including <br />Developmental Disabilities <br />C. Update the Reasonable <br />Accommodation ordinance’s findings <br />for approval to ensure compliance with <br />Federal Fair Housing Acts and California <br />Fair Employment and Housing Act by <br />removing constraints, such as amending <br />finding number eight, and ensuring the <br />review process and evaluation criteria <br />meet current fair housing requirements <br />and HUD guidance. <br />12/1/2023 <br />The RFP for the Comprehensive Zoning Code Update was released and <br />proposals were due to the City on April 13, 2023. The City formally entered an <br />agreement with a consultant on October 17, 2023 to start the Zoning Code <br />Update. Through the Zoning Code Update, the City will update the Reasonable <br />Accommodation ordinance’s findings for approval to ensure compliance with <br />Federal Fair Housing Acts and California Fair Employment and Housing Act. <br />36. Housing for People <br />with Disabilities, including <br />Developmental Disabilities <br />D. Hold annual small apartment- <br />managers’ workshop to train and <br />educate property owners, HOAs, <br />property managers, and tenants about <br />best practices in property management, <br />neighborhood safety, and <br />landlord/tenant responsibilities (see <br />program 44). The training will also cover <br />specific concerns regarding families <br />with children, occupancy standards, and <br />reasonable accommodations and <br />modifications. <br />Annually No update for CY 2023. <br />36. Provide affordable housing <br />opportunities for people with disabilities <br />as part of the City’s RFP for Affordable <br />Housing Development to support the <br />development of permanent, affordable, <br />and accessible housing that allows <br />people with disabilities to live <br />independent lives. <br />Annually <br />In CY 2023, the WISEPlace Permanent Supportive Housing Project is a 48 unit <br />project (47 affordable to extremely low income individuals) which was funded in <br />CY 2022, began construction and is currently underway and due for completion <br />in late 2024. <br />B-122
