Provide financial assistance to single- <br />family homeowners and renters to make <br />ADA-accessible improvements to their <br />homes. <br />Ongoing <br />In CY 2023, the City took a significant step forward in addressing housing needs <br />by partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County to launch the <br />Residential Rehabilitation Grant Program. This initiative aimed to revitalize single- <br />family and mobile homes within the community, ensuring safe and habitable <br />living conditions for residents. Through the agreement, the City allocated <br />substantial resources, offering grants of up to $25,000 to eligible households. he <br />program prioritized inclusivity and equitable distribution of aid, focusing on <br />vulnerable populations within the community. Specifically, applicants residing in <br />CDBG census tracts, seniors aged 62 and older, disabled individuals, and low- <br />income households received preference in the selection process. By targeting <br />these groups, the City sought to address systemic disparities and provide <br />essential support to those most in need. The collaboration with Habitat for <br />Humanity of Orange County facilitated the efficient implementation of the grant <br />program, leveraging the organization's expertise in housing rehabilitation and <br />community development. By investing in the repair and rehabilitation of homes, <br />the City aimed to foster neighborhood stability, promote economic vitality, and <br />uphold its commitment to creating inclusive and resilient communities. <br />B-123
