Incorporate development and site <br />design standards in residential zones <br />through the Zoning Code Update (see <br />program 18) that offer flexibility to <br />promote innovative models of <br />multigenerational housing. <br />12/1/2023 <br />The RFP for the Comprehensive Zoning Code Update was released and <br />proposals were due to the City on April 13, 2023. The City formally entered an <br />agreement with a consultant on October 17, 2023 to start the Zoning Code <br />Update. Through the Zoning Code Update, the City will incorporate development <br />and site design standards in residential zones that offer flexibility to promote <br />multigenerational housing. <br />43. Publish preapproved ADU prototype <br />plans to provide greater certainty and <br />quality in the development of such <br />housing. <br />7/1/2022 <br />In November 2023, PBA finalized and published 12 pre-approved plan sets for <br />ADU construction that the City owns on its website for the public to use free of <br />charge. Additionally, a reduced processing fee was created to further incentivize <br />the use of the plans and construction of ADUs. <br />43. Market the ADU program through a <br />dedicated web page on the City’s <br />planning website; provide downloadable <br />educational flyers in English, Spanish, <br />and Vietnamese that publicize the <br />program. <br />7/1/2022 <br />PBA created and published a dedicated ADU webpage November 2023. All <br />informations and flyers have been coded into the webpage, allowing viewers to <br />select the translation tool and read the content in the language of their <br />preference. PBA continues to market the ADU program within the Planning <br />Division webpage and ADU specified webpages, and at the public Planning <br />Counter. <br />B-127
