Continue <br />to promote and market the Recycling <br />Market Development Zone. Develop a <br />program to assist businesses that want <br />to relocate from functionally obsolete <br />strip commercial locations to new <br />distinctive neighborhood commercial <br />districts. <br />CDA Ongoing Economic Development Division staff <br />continues to promote and market <br />underutilized shopping centers for <br />reinvestment. Staff reaches out to any <br />impacted business to help with site <br />selection to a new location in the city, if <br />applicable. CDA has partnered with the <br />Public Works Agency and Planning & <br />Building to identify strategies and <br />programs that will promote <br />functionality in older commercial strips <br />in need of upgrades. Furthermore, the <br />PWA has launched the Clean City <br />Initiative that CDA is helping promote in <br />Downtown Santa Ana where there are <br />infrastructure needs to accommodate <br />RMDZ.
