A-38 <br /> <br />ELEMENT REF # EJ IMPLEMENTATION ACTION AGENCY TIME <br />FRAME 2023 UPDATE <br />Land Use 3.2 Yes Design guidelines and standards. <br />Update the zoning code's development <br />and operational standards for industrial <br />zones to address incompatibility with <br />adjacent uses, including minimum <br />distance requirements to buffer heavy <br />industrial uses from sensitive receptors. <br />Conduct a study to evaluate and <br />establish appropriate minimum <br />distances and landscape buffers <br />between polluting industrial uses from <br />sensitive receptors such as residences, <br />schools, day care, and public facilities. <br />PBA 2022 - <br />2027 <br />Comprehensive zoning code update is <br />underway to update the zoning code's <br />development and operational <br />standards. <br />Land Use 3.3 Yes Healthy lifestyles. Collaborate with <br />residents and industry stakeholders to <br />create a program to incentivize and <br />amortize the removal of existing heavy <br />industrial uses adjacent to sensitive <br />uses. <br />PBA 2022 Through the adoption of the updated <br />Noxious Uses Ordinance and Non- <br />conforming Ordinance update in 2023, <br />PBA continues to evaluate its <br />application of this increased land use <br />enforcement oversight to help build <br />cases and data to guide program <br />development, considerations, and <br />stakeholder collaboration.
