A-39 <br /> <br />ELEMENT REF # EJ IMPLEMENTATION ACTION AGENCY TIME <br />FRAME 2023 UPDATE <br />Land Use 3.6 Yes Lead paint abatement. Coordinate with <br />County of Orange Health Care Agency <br />and community organizations to <br />strengthen local programs and initiatives <br />to eliminate lead-based paint hazards, <br />with priority given to residential <br />buildings located within environmental <br />justice area boundaries. <br />CDA / PBA 2021 & <br />Ongoing <br />The City's EJ Office staff convened the <br />Lead Action Policies team and <br />continues to work with Azure <br />Development - CDPH contractor for <br />County Lead Testing and Lead Hazard <br />Abatement Program, the OC Health <br />Care Agency Prevention team, OC EJ, <br />GREEN-MPNA EJ advocacy <br />organizations, UCI faculty, and other <br />resident leaders integrate outreach for <br />lead testing at special events and <br />outreach in communities, schools, and <br />other opportunities. One program is <br />available to enroll 50 families in Santa <br />Ana through 2025. <br />Land Use 3.7 No Building massing. Update the Citywide <br />Design Guidelines to incorporate best <br />practices addressing transitions in <br />building height and bulk for new <br />development adjacent to lower density <br />neighborhoods. <br />PBA 2022 - <br />2027 <br />The RFP for the Comprehensive Zoning <br />Code Update was released and <br />proposals were due to the City on April <br />13, 2023. The City formally entered an <br />agreement with a consultant on <br />October 17, 2023 to start the Zoning <br />Code Update. The project will include <br />updating the Citywide Design <br />Guidelines into objective design <br />standards to address building scale and <br />design compatibility.
