The Park Services <br />Division continues efforts to provide <br />capital improvement projects and <br />acquisition opportunities. During the <br />course of 2023, acquired eight parcels <br />to create a new park at 10th and Flower <br />Streets. Also, acquired parcels along <br />Bristol Street to be utilized in the <br />future. In partnership with Water <br />Department acquired property at 1st <br />and Mountainview. <br />Open Space 2.2 No Enhanced safety features. Provide <br />enhanced lighting, cameras, or other <br />security features that would enhance <br />the safety or perceived safety of parks, <br />trails, and other public spaces; seek <br />grant funding to improve safety <br />measures and program facility <br />improvements into the Capital <br />Improvement Program each year. <br />PRCSA 2022 Added security cameras to six park <br />sites; upgraded lighting at six park sites <br />and the Pacific Electric Bike Trail. New <br />security company retained with <br />expanded hours, enforcement <br />capabilities and enhanced force to <br />make repeated visits to park sites. 24/7 <br />Park Host at Thornton Park.
