Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Dear Councilmembers of Santa Ana,

It has come to my attention that the City Council has failed to understand the importance of child care in our
community.

As a parent and lifetime resident of our vibrant city, I am troubled by the scarcity of assistance resources
available to child care owners and families in need of care.

Child care providers face numerous challenges to simply keep their vital businesses alive. Their businesses
contribute to the health and growth of not only our children, but the future of our community. Child care
workers are an extremely important and necessary piece in the development of a thriving city, yet you choose
not to show support for this industry which truly doesn’t make sense, considering how intrinsic and vital quality
child care is to economic development.

City Council, please prioritize funding to bolster the state of child care in Santa Ana, ensuring that every child
has access to safe and nurturing care.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Kindly,
Angelica Torres
3
