Public Comments (items not on the agenda) <br />None <br />STAFF AND COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />7. Comments from Staff <br />Mr. Edwards <br />Noted that Santa Ana had been presented with a resolution at the California <br />Preservation Conference certifying status as a Certified Local Government. <br />Provided an update on the proposed One Broadway Plaza project and <br />advised that it was anticipated that the Environmental Impact Report would be <br />released on June 3. <br />Noted that both the Template Review Committee and the Phillips Hutton Ad <br />Hoc Committee were scheduled to meet on May 8. <br />Announced that Jeffry Rice, Principal Planner, had accepted a position with <br />the City of Orange as Planning Manager. <br />8. Comments from Historic Resources Commission <br />Commissioner Chinn <br />Noted that National Historic Preservation Week was scheduled in May and <br />that an open house would be held on May 15 at the Howe-Waffle House. <br />Requested information about a plaque he observed while on the Floral Park <br />tour and requested an update on the plaques that the Commission had <br />reviewed. Mr. Edwards advised that staff was working with Mr. Harris on the <br />language and would be bringing it back to the Commission. <br />Noted that while in San Juan Capistrano he had received a printed guide for <br />their walking tour and requested a status update on the brochure being <br />created for Santa Ana. Mr. Edwards will research and provide an update. <br />Advised that Floral Park residents were accessing library resources to <br />research the history of their homes and requested that staff provide <br />assistance with a format for the data. <br />Wished Mr. Rice good luck in his new position. <br />Commissioner Corpin <br />Wished Mr. Rice good luck and requested to be advised of farewell activities. <br />Commissioner Gartner <br />Congratulated Mr. Rice on his new position. <br />Thanked Ms. Hernandez for the good job done on the presentations. <br />Commissioner O'Callaghan <br />Congratulated Mr. Rice on his new position <br />Noted that he went on the Floral Park tour and had enjoyed. <br />Noted that owners of historic property should be made aware that there could <br />be additional review for any modifications. <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION MINUTES 7 May 2, 2002 <br />Historic Resources Commission c – 30 3/7/2024
