Staff utilized various channels including social media, newsletters, and email <br />distribution lists to inform the public about programmatic updates, reaching a total of <br />38,238 Santa Ana residents. <br />Affordable Funds and Land Assets for Affordable Housing <br />Development Projects <br />The City, along with the Housing Authority serving as the Housing Successor Agency, <br />manages multiple sources of local, state, and federal funds to develop affordable housing. <br />Exhibit 2 provides a summary of the funds available as of March 31, 2024. <br />Affordable Housing Opportunity and Creation Ordinance <br />On-Site Development <br />Since 2011, the Affordable Housing Opportunity and Creation Ordinance (Ordinance) has <br />facilitated the development of a total of 34 on-site units, consisting of 24 units available <br />for ownership and 10 units designated for rental purposes.
