All concrete drains and other surface drains under the sidewalk shall be kept free of <br /> vegetation, debris, and algae to allow unrestricted water flow daily. <br /> 7. All other drainage facilities shall be cleaned of all vegetation and debris daily, or as <br /> necessary. <br /> 8. All grates shall be tested for security and refastened as necessary. Missing or <br /> damaged grates shall be immediately made safe and reported to the CR. <br /> 9. All barbecue grills, and hot coal containers, shall be emptied of all ashes twice <br /> weekly, once on Thursday and once on Sunday mornings. <br /> 10. All park benches, picnic tables, play equipment, and band shells shall be steam <br /> cleaned or pressure washed per the pressure washing schedule and specifications. <br /> Sanitization may vary with use. <br /> 11. Reserved picnic sites are a top priority. These sites shall be cleaned and blown by <br /> 8:00 a.m. daily, including weekends, holidays, and other times if deemed necessary. <br /> Pressure washing will be on a schedule, refer to the pressure washing section, but may <br /> require additional pressure washing as determined by CR. <br /> 12. The contractor shall spray monthly in all listed areas to control weed growth. <br /> 13. The contractor shall check all dog bag dispensers daily, and restock them as <br /> necessary. The contractor shall report missing and/or broken dispensers, on the <br /> same day, to the CR. The bags shall be provided by the City. <br /> 14. All tree limb failures shall be reported to the CR and collected along with any debris <br /> within 72 hours. <br /> 15. Six-Month Service: <br /> a. On January and July of each year the Contractor shall change out old flags <br /> and replace them with fresh, new all-weather flags to be provided by the City. <br /> Contractor shall follow all flag etiquette regarding the proper care, storage, <br /> delivery, and replacement of our American, City, and any other flags. <br /> Contractor shall deliver the old and worn flags to the the Park Services <br /> Inspector so flags properly folded and cared for. <br /> 16. Contractor shall inspect the basketball courts and tennis nets, and replace if <br /> required. The City will provide these materials. <br /> B. Specialty/ Sports Areas <br /> 1. Sand Court Areas <br /> These areas include tot lots, play areas, volleyball courts, etc. <br /> a. All sand areas, including tot lots, shall be cleaned with a basket sand <br /> rake to remove leaves and debris and leveled daily. The use of hand- <br /> held or backpack blowers or other devices shall not be substituted for <br /> raking. <br /> b. Sidewalks adjacent to tot lots must be swept or blown daily. Care should <br /> be exercised to avoid any patrons using the tot lots.
