4. Additions to System <br /> The Contractor shall maintain additional streetlights and appurtenant devices as they are <br /> added or installed. City will notify the contractor of such addition and the contractor shall <br /> include them in the maintenance contract. Cost of the routine maintenance of the new <br /> addition will be per contract unit price and will be effective the 15`day of the following <br /> month unless stated otherwise in the notification. <br /> The City may, at it sole discretion,add and eliminate streetlights and appurtenant devices <br /> from this contract. The contractor shall be notified of such addition or deletions in writing. <br /> Such changes shall increase or decrease the invoice at the same unit price as specified in <br /> the Contract Agreement. <br /> 5. Routine Maintenance <br /> The routine maintenance shall be performed on a periodically basis based on type of <br /> equipment. <br /> (a) Meter Pedestal: <br /> (i) Maintenance period: <br /> The Contractor shall perform a complete inspection and service of each signalized <br /> intersection once every(3)three months,for safety,operation and cleanliness. <br /> (ii) Maintenance Tasks: <br /> • Cabinets: <br /> The Contractor shall clean the cabinets thoroughly on the inside,including all <br /> components. The Contractor shall remove all unauthorized external <br /> attachments such as notices,posters,signs, etc. and notify the City of any <br /> graffiti that is on the streetlight equipment. It is not the Contractor's <br /> responsibility to remove the graffiti <br /> o Ancillary Equipment: <br /> The Contractor shall check all ancillary equipment(electrical <br /> breakers, contactors,photoelectric controls, etc.)in the cabinet for <br /> proper operation. <br /> • Field Equipment: <br /> o The Contractor shall check all associated streetlight poles and <br /> standards for damages. <br /> o The Contractor shall check all luminaires for proper operation. <br /> • Maintenance Record: <br /> The Contractor shall maintain a record log in each controller cabinet showing <br /> the date and time of any service.
