UPPER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM <br />Ba around <br />With the recent findings during the Fraternal Order of Police nationwide study, we <br />have identified and coined this current era as The Resignation Crisis in Law <br />Enforcement. For the first time, officers report they are leaving their agencies based <br />on how departments have made them "feel." Feelings of not being supported by the <br />department, not protected by the department, feelings of department betrayal and <br />hesitation with being led by dysfunctional management. This has left officers with an <br />internal safety struggle. We are seeing for the first time, more officers leaving the <br />profession completely or taking early retirement due to these internal struggles and <br />feelings. <br />As we have evolved in the mental health arena, we acknowledge the need to tear <br />down the stigma of seeking professional help. We know about the high -risk coping <br />mechanisms, such as divorce, addictions, financial downturns and high suicide rates <br />that plague then law enforcement industry. But in our effort to recover from this <br />stigma, we are losing sight of wellness at its infancy stages. For many departments, <br />wellness has become a checkbox, not a culture shift. Programs and items are being <br />purchased in the hopes they will "fix" our external struggles and internal pain. These <br />"band -aid" solutions can be even more detrimental to someone who is already <br />hurting and not seen and valued. <br />What you need is a true professional who understands the psychology of the culture, <br />the science, the profession and the "why" behind leadership failures and <br />organizational dysfunctions in the industry. As an established group of culturally <br />competent, board -certified psychologists, we understand what you need because of <br />our work in this industry. <br />The Solution <br />By deploying our resident experts, including Dr. Shonna Hill, to your retreat, you will <br />experience dynamic teaching methods and be introduced to treatments for regulating <br />the amygdala, increasing hippocampus growth, and lowering levels of cortisol. The <br />treatments and tools are all evidence -based and many have been adopted by military <br />special forces for regulating stress. Participants will have opportunities for self - <br />reflection, self -care and tribal healing. <br />Through specialized equipping workshops, we will take a deeper dive into <br />dysfunctions of upper management and allow space for the body of leaders to see one <br />another at a more personal level and through a different lens.
